Digital Economy and the Internet of Things - negotiating data silo
Abstract
This article deals with the issues of the development of standards for the Internet of Things. One of the main points that should be covered by standards is the interoperability support. In this regard, the paper deals with the so-called data silos and ways to combat them. As a practical example, we consider the British national standard for disclosure on the Internet of Things - PAS-212. It is based on open source developments and has a good chance to become an international standard.
