Abstract

this article describes the problem of incoordination of companies corporate data on spatially distributed objects in the oil production and oil refining industries, presented in the form of documents and drawings. The advantages of joint use of geographic information systems (GIS) and outside databases of information systems and software products are described. It is shown that an important task is the formation of a unified system for obtaining up-to-date information about spatially distributed objects of an company in a convenient format with minimal time. It is analyzed in which cases the use of geographic information systems in conjunction with three-dimensional digital information models can lead to greater efficiency of company’s work processes. The application of BIM (Building Information Modeling) - information modeling of buildings and structures in corporate information systems is described. Examples of interaction between BIM and GIS which allow to display the area of interest, objects and communications on it, zones and territories with special conditions of use are given. The work identifies the main actual issues of sharing disparate data stored in the form of two- and three-dimensional objects of various formats, suggests options for their joint use, and describes possible ways to implement synchronous access and mutual modification of attribute and spatial data.
