Artificial Intelligence in Cybersecurity. Chronicle. Issue 10
Abstract
In this publication, we present the tenth issue of our analytical review dedicated to the application of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in cybersecurity. This series of materials aims to systematically explore this dynamically developing subject area at the intersection of artificial intelligence and information security. The key objective of the project is to regularly monitor global trends and summarize the most significant developments in this area. In addition to aggregating information, the initiative provides an in-depth analysis of regulatory documents, high-profile incidents, and advanced technological solutions shaping the modern cybersecurity landscape under the influence of AI. Each issue in the series is structured uniformly, with three thematic sections, ensuring a comprehensive examination of the subject matter. The first section provides an updated overview of the incident base and current security challenges: it analyzes real-world attack scenarios, identifies new vulnerabilities, and assesses the threats posed by the introduction of AI algorithms into both defense mechanisms and attacker arsenals. The second section describes the current state of the regulatory environment and the key areas of its evolution. Understanding these processes is critical, as they shape the legal and operational conditions in which reliable and secure AI systems will operate. The third section provides a chronological overview of scientific and technological progress. The final section of each issue includes an annotated list of the most noteworthy scientific publications, analytical reports from leading organizations, and descriptions of innovative products and solutions, according to the author.
