Internet of Things in industrial plants

Abstract


The article deals with issues related to the use of the Internet of Things technology in the industry. This article discusses the reasons for the use of the Internet of Things in enterprises, provides the examples of calculation of economic efficiency of implementation. Much attention is paid to specific models of application of the Internet of Things. The article discusses the architecture of the Internet of Things applications in industrial plants. The paper shows the determining role of the Internet of Things platform. This platform provides data collection and analysis, which are the keys to modern automation in industrial applications. And this platform is the main subject of standardization in this area. The paper also examines the importance of cloud computing to collect and analyze data in the Internet of Things applications.
